Lil Wayne on Litesport: Brand-New Classes & Punch Tracks

In honor of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, we’re bringing Lil Wayne to Litesport with brand-new classes and re-releases of some of your favorite Lil Wayne Punch Tracks.

Lil Wayne is widely considered one of the greatest rappers in the industry, coming in at number 7 on Billboard’s 2023 list of the “50 Greatest Rappers Of All Time”. Starting at the age of 12, Lil Wayne began his music career in the late 1990s as part of Hot Boys, a group signed to Cash Money Records. He quickly established himself as a prolific artist with the release of his 1999 debut solo album “Tha Block Is Hot”. With chart-topping hits over three decades, from "A Milli" to "Bling Bling" to "Lollipop," Lil Wayne's sound and style have revolutionized rap music as we know it. By pushing creative boundaries and staying true to himself, Lil Wayne has established himself as one of hip hop's most legendary icons.

And this legendary icon also just so happens to be one of Trainer GW’s favorite artists. So we worked with GW to pull together a full Lil Wayne workout playlist featuring some of the top hits from this multi-platinum-selling rapper, singer, and songwriter. Here are the new Lil Wayne-inspired classes and tracks coming to the app this month:

10 min Trainer Class Artist Series: Lil Wayne

The early 2000s were a great decade for music—and for Lil Wayne. And this 10-minute Trainer Class is all about throwing it back as you throw a few punches. You’ll start by warming up with some jumping jacks and speed squats before getting right into the action. In that first round, you’ll throw double-time boxing combinations to the beat of “Got Money” by Lil Wayne and T-Pain. Then, in rounds two and three, you’ll practice changing levels on those body shots as you turn up the heat with more Lil Wayne hits featuring Kevin Rudolf, The Game, Big Sean, Fabolous, and Jeremih. It’s Wayne’s world, we’re just boxing in it.

2 Song Mitt Drill Artist Series: Lil Wayne

We’re keeping it going with Trainer GW in this two-song Lil Wayne frenzy Mitt Drill workout. Mitt Drill workouts mimic pad or focus mitt training. In other words, GW is right there in front of you guiding your punches and coaching you on correct form as you box to the beat of “A Milli” and “Fireman”, two of Lil Wayne's top-charting hits. You’ll use all 6 targets on the shield as you box to the beat. And throughout the class, GW has you focusing on elongating those punches and extending your arms for maximum power.

4 Song Total Body Artist Series: Lil Wayne

It’s always a party with GW, and this 15-minute, 4-song Total Body class is no exception. You’ll start by warming up with alternating side lunges and pulse squats before letting out some anger with battle rope slams. It won’t be long till you’re feeling the full body burn across all four rounds of this workout, especially in those legs and glutes. This class is also a great chance to work on getting that streak up on the speed bag. Don’t worry about motivation, because Lil Wayne delivers in this workout with hits like “How To Love” and “John” plus features on Drake and Jay Sean tracks “You Only Live Twice” and “Down”. And remember that if you can’t do something, GW is there to substitute with a modification.

3 Song Total Strength Artist Series: Lil Wayne

Grab the dumbbells and get ready to crush this 3-song Total Strength workout with GW. GW encourages you to take your time with the dumbbells, focusing on control not speed as you lift those weights. You’ll start by burning out those shoulders in round one as you rotate between high pulls and diagonal shoulder raises before finishing with some rows. Then you’ll switch to the lower body and work those legs with stagger squats and deadlifts in round two. And the last round challenges your full body with exercises like push-to-press, lateral raises, and reverse lunge to hammer curl press. And of course, Lil Wayne is with you the whole time with hits including “Kant Nobody”, “3 Peat”, and “Don’t Cry”.
